Good Morning My Doves!
How on earth am I going to be able to show you how much I appreciate all of you guys?! Thank you for all of your uplifting comments on my last post and my post on how I’ve turned orange. And it seems that a lot of you wanted a picture of me and my orange skin.
If you look at the palm of my hand, you can see it. It is so embarrassing.
What have I been doing recently?
I GOT A NEW PHONE!!!!!!
I am so excited!!! It’s a LG Rumor Touch from Sprint. And I got unlimited text! So if yah wanna talk, just shoot me an email and I’ll give yah my numbah.
Recently, I was in the mood for a Green Smoothie.
A whole quart of one. It was delicious. It had Celery, Cucumber, Parsley, Kale, Green Collards, Spinach, a small Banana, a small Apple, a centimeter piece of Fresh Ginger, Lemon Juice, Almond Milk, Protein Powder, and Stevia.
While I had my Green Smoothie, my mom had a Mixed Fruit Soft Serve!
She used Vanilla Soymilk, Frozen Mixed Fruit, and a Banana. It looked SO good! But I was content with my smoothie.
Yesterday, I ran a 5k! This is me and my running buddy Amanda!
She is such a sweetheart and I love her to death! We ran/walked together the entire race — it was so much fun!! Our time was 39 minutes. For someone who’s not much of a runner and who didn’t even train for it, I feel pretty good about it. I know I want to do better, so I know I want to do it more! It felt so good to do it! I’m going to go make a run for a 5k so I can do it and work on it.
After the 5k, there was a Bread Competition. There was three categories: yeast, quick, and artisan. I’ve never made an artisan bread before, so I just entered into the other two. I made my Zucchini Bread
And My Whole Wheat Bread (which I like even more than the Honey Whole Wheat Bread).
When I got there, I realized that I was the only one who had submitted anything with whole grains. I didn’t win a prize or ribbon or anything. Though, it didn’t help that people who were judging the bread preferred white bread over anything WHOLE. I just hope that one day they will come to like grains for their WHOLEselves, not just for part of them.
