Week 9 + You Are Beautiful Just The Way You Are!

Hey my Beautiful Smarties!

The finals for my classes are approaching this next week, and I’m in charge of two huge projects for my classes this week, so I may not be able to get on here very often, but I will as much as I can. πŸ™‚ I just went on a date with this sweet young manΒ this past weekend. We’ve been really close friends for a while and he’s always a lot of fun to hang out with. And he is always so sweet. Β We went to Kohl’s, Bath and Body Works, Target, WHOLE FOODS, Bed Bath and Beyond, and TRADER JOE’S (I didn’t even know we had one of those around here!)!!! I had a wonderful time and it really touched me that he was willing to take me all the way out there just so I could go once. πŸ™‚ I’ll talk more about what I got later after I get the time to take pictures. I’ll also share what I have assembled to take with me when I fly up to Idaho four weeks from Wednesday. (I still can’t believe how fast time goes by.)

I just finished my 9th week on ThisFitChick’s workout program and I really enjoyed it. The change in workouts was great and I had a lot of fun with it. I’m supposed to do 4 days of workouts (3 split days with both weights and HIT and then one day with a combination circuit), but I spread them out because of my schedule. One thing I have noticed a big change in is my arms – they are literally hard as rocks now – on top, underneath, all around. I must say, I like this heavy weight training. πŸ˜‰

You are beauty-full just the way you are! Don’t ever forget that! ❀

with lots of hugs,

Kathleen

  1. Your positive outlook on life is so incredibly inspiring Kat! And just incase you need to hear it one more time, YOU are BEAUTIFUL inside and out.
And good luck on finals! You will do amazing πŸ™‚

  2. it sounds like you had a lot of fun… Haha, but I’m surprised that you didn’t know there was a Trader Joes around you!! I would have been ALL OVER THAT. πŸ˜€

Congrats on the results you are seeing from your weight lifting. I always feel so much better when I weight lift, but at school it’s just hard because none of my friends are into exercising or being “healthy,” so I don’t have anyone to go to the gym with.

Love the inspiration pictures. Beautiful πŸ™‚

    • I truly had NO idea! I think it was actually just built, so its quite new. I knew I had a Whole Foods around here, but because my parents don’t like to drive if they don’t have to, I never got to go. But when my my friend offered to take me I got SUPER excited!!!! It really meant a lot to me that he would take the time out of his day to do that. πŸ™‚

I can see how that’s hard — do you think they would join you for a class or two at the gym? Like a dancing class or a dancing lesson? I’m sure they’d have fun doing that, and it would be exclusively exercising — it would be having some fun while staying active. πŸ™‚ I hope to make some friends when I go to the gym up at college — and maybe I can convince one of my roommates to go with me. I love going with a friend for cardio sessions, as it’s always more fun when there’s someone to talk too, but I always seem to enjoy lifting alone — it’s my quiet time, a time I can take to just think thing over and relieve stress. (If you get what I mean.)

Thanks so much for your comment, Madison — it really meant a lot to me! πŸ™‚

  3. Sounds like a lovely date, how nice of him to take you to Wholefoods and Trader Joes. I think that would be my perfect first date these days!
I love how happy you are by your workout, I need to choose a program and stick to it. I’m so flaky lately but your enthusiasm is contagious, yay!

    • Thanks, Ally. πŸ™‚ Yes, I was absolutely amazed that he would do that for me — it wasn’t the closest place either, so for him to do that really meant a lot to me. And we wet exclusively because of me — he’s not into that kind of stuff as much as I am (but I am helping me start to eat a little more healthfully). But also because of that he helps me keep that balance with myself — helping me remember that it’s okay to have a treat once in a while that isn’t the best thing for me. If I eat healthfully the rest of the time, a treat won’t hurt me. πŸ™‚

Thanks for your comment, Ally! πŸ™‚

  4. PS –> Have you seen the Leibster Award going around blogs recenlty? I’ve nominated you if you’d like to play a part in it πŸ™‚ Not offended if you don’t want to. Its just a great way of connecting bloggers. πŸ™‚
